I know there have been a number of threads on this topic, most of them about Ultra Dry which apparently doesn't work too well but what about this one?

Surefoot Ice Free Running Board Coating made by Between The Lines Designs

Has anyone tried this product? Looks like major possibilities - I could see applying it to the exposed bulkhead where the A arms attach on Polaris Pro RMK's as well as the vertical sides of the inside of the tunnel - maybe the front of the tunnel?

I have used it on my running boards and it is the bomb. Any snow and ice that does build up comes off so easy. Usually just riding around it falls off. I would like to spray my A arms, spindles, rails and skid but need to get more product. Will probably wait until late July when I'm done riding.

In what way? From snow and ice sticking, no comparison. Overall abrasion resistance, not as tuff. Maybe 75% as tuff.

It is not clear no, you can but it in either matte grey or black.

Question though, you mention that snow and ice build up still occasionally but it comes off easy.... wouldnt that mean the product is not doing what people are applying it for? Snow and ice come off wraps and powder coat, easy...

Post up what you think of it. Does it go on clear?

I will once it gets here. It comes in grey or black. I called and ordered today - they just came out with a new slightly harder product for tunnels and rails so that is what I ordered. It was $99.99 plus shipping and there is only enough to do one side (inside or out) of your tunnel. I plan on doing the verticals on the inside of my tunnels, my rear suspension brackets and my running boards. I have a 2012 Polaris Pro RMK and the brackets and running boards are great at holding snow. I am having my rails and a few other parts powdercoated so hopefully I can do some side by side comparisons. They are both an epoxy based iceophobic compound that is sprayed on with an ordinary automotive type sprayer at ambient temperature. So we'll see -

The HUGE advantage over powdercoating is the ability to mask and paint and not have to strip your sled completely down. BUT, how does it look? I am experimenting with my '12 in anticipation of my '14 that Polaris is once again failing to paint or powdercoat.

Oh, and I am having a vinyl wrap put on the outside of my tunnel so I can compare wrap to powdercoating to iceophobic coating once I have my sled all put back together. ( I can't ride for a couple weeks so I might as well dismantle my sled, right? ) And no I do not have the patience to do a wrap myself that's why I am having it done.
