Summit Rev 162

Well I finished my project of changing my 151 Summit to a 162. I used a 162x16x2.3 Maverick track. Avid 7 tooth 3 inch pitch drivers. 159 rails set back 1 inch. 159 tunnel extension. Anyone running something like this? Where did you end up as far as clutching and gearing? I get to ride later this week so I can't wait to see how it does.

I would run a 19-45 gearing. Your 151 probably has 21-45 stock. The 159's came stock with 19-45. This should be a baseline setting. I would try that and see how your currant clutch setup works.

my '04 151 x came 19-45 and i went down to 18-45. Absolutely love it gave me another 6mph track speed. A lot of people say 19-47 is the best way to go but i could only find a 47 tooth gear in aluminum. I still top out at over 80 which is plenty fast enough.
