Summit exhauast question

Got an 06 800 X and the guy who sold it to me finally got me the other can that he had. So pulled off the stock suit case that is on there but there is a ring on the inside of the top of the can that goes into the pipe. It would appear that I need to get that out to put on the other can but it is stuck in there. I know they are quite soft (looks like it may be aluminum). Any suggestions on how to get it out of there without damaging the can opening there or the ring? Thanks.

Doughnut

It is a tapered doughnut with one flat side, made out of a graphite impregnated foil. Carefully get underneath it with a hooked tool of some sort and work it out. May have had sealer used previously and that is holding it in.

So ya got yourself a Rev, eh? Planning any trips?

Yes Daryl I got exactly what I wanted and I know you will know how it all worked out . Planning on going to West Yellowstone and the end of the month. Have only ridden the Rev around here at home for a few hours and I really like it. Did not take long to used to the sled. The ZX I had before I got real used to it for carving, (had it for 6 years) this one seems a little different to tip on its side. But that is expected because of different sled, I know I will get used to it. It should be easier to carve because of the narrower stance and the shock set up is way better than before.
