Any suggestions on who to talk to about sled repairs? I know a guy in the Dillon area with a 2003 Polaris 800 engine that went down recently. Might be a crank, might be a piston seized.

The sled owner is pretty new to the sport and new to the sled. Any susggestions about who he might talk to in the Summit County area will be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Alan

His name is Dave Shell... he's good with that era of sled, good guy.

Otherwise if you don't mind bringing it to evergreen, Bparks on here is an excellent guy to work with.

I'll second Dave Shell, knows the Edges well. Most of the guys I know here in Summit County do all our own work, but not all are up to that.

Ill third DAVE, I've been in and out of there since i started riding, Awesome guy and knows his stuff. One of his guys Vic, i ride with frequently, Vic has built edge sleds from the ground up with a truck full of parts. They will take care of you over there. If i can get my old phone working ill grab the number for you.

Dave Shell (Shell Racing) Number is 970-468-2562

Oh and he will work on anything, he is best with Polaris but i've seen them all in his shop torn down and running awesome the next week.

Dave's on it, and me and the other guy appreciate all the help.
Thanks to every one. I had phone calls and the thread responses, all positive references for Dave.
I talked to Dave, and Dave talked to the guy I was trying to help. They got together yesterday. I hear its an ugly breakdown. Whatever broke in the engine took the case. I don't know if it includes the crank, and/or one or both cylinders, but its ugly. I don't know what the owner can or will do--tough circumstance.
