Summit county areas and the forest circus.

Drove up to the Summit county areas i ride alot to see what the forest service has done for closures. I went to the FS website which was a waste of time because nothing worked and found out nothing about the closures and travel management plan. I then called the FS number and asked about the travel management plan in which the reply was "Im not sure, whats your number so i can have someone call you". Never got a call back. Pennsylvania Gulch was posted by the FS and is now closed for OHV. North Fork off Tiger Road was NOT posted and says nothing about being closed. The sign up front states "New closures coming in the next year" which it has said for a year now. Also the area above the dump is posted as closed and is no longer open for OHV.

Along with this i have heard multiple times the FS does not have the funds to patrol any areas in Summit and thats why they had to close the areas. Just a heads up, i know alot of denver guys that ride St. Johns so now you know.

Well, that sucks, But if they don't have the men to patrol it, you know that they are on VP, so just ride it.

Personally, I think the "not enough manpower" is just an excuse because they feel like pussies for actually catering to rich tree huggers skiers.

Makes sure you are looking at the winter travel plan (much, much different than the summer travel plan). I don't know those areas or I would look for you. I was going to post the links but as Gmiller stated, the maps are no longer showing!

This seems to be an incredibly convenient trend for the forest circus. When they advertised the public comment period for the proposed closures in the Shoshone Nat'l Forest in Wyoming a few months ago the website was broken for about half that comment period time so no one could look at the maps.

I emailed them and they fixed it, at least temporarily.

And this surprises you?? That's how Liberals work. They have to cheat, lie and screw people over to get what they want. But people just keep getting more stupid and keep electing those as$clowns. Polis is a piece of Sh!t but yet he got re-elected. Why? Sheeple. Plain and simple.

We can't fight back. The most opposed people to these closures don't have the money to donate alot and the ones that do have the money, don't do anything with it. And you can spot them a mile away on these forums.

It's the guys that spend spend spend on sled stuff but never even join a thread like this. You never see them talking about it. Pretty sad if you ask me.
