Who is awaiting patiently for the DOO people to come out with the Summit version of the 1200 4-Tec. I see that the aftermarket guru's have the turbo's and superchargers in place.

summit 800cc is a nice sled, i doent make any sense to change it!
i trust more 2st then 4st in the powder.

I thought about turboing a nytro, but I'd have to change suspension & track.
i'll try and wait a year and see if Doo comes out with a 4stroke 163"xp. I won't have to spend $2400 on track &suspension.Also snow tech on page 94 had a turbo for I think $3495 for the 1200 4tec

I actually kinda surprises me that both Doo & AC didn't put there new 4strokes in the mountain versions. Why wouldn't they? They have the engines and the chassis. Someone needs to compete with the big turboes Yamaha's. All the Apex's are getting lonely on the top. LOL

Anyone know or care to venture a guess, will it be in a full-on XP chassis or will it be slightly different? Sort of like the RT 1000 was to the REV.
it will be liek the RT/REV, even look at the short tracks, the chassis is beefed up for the 3 banger and the body pannels are slightly wider etc.

I hope it kicks all azz to be honest. Polaris did it well with the FST, but I really hope Doo raises the bar so others will follow. Someone needs to do it. Just hope its balanced, the yamaha's are heavy but they are far superior in the department of a balanced chassis hands down. I personally didnt like the XP feeling.
Just need Cat to do it and not in such an ugly chassis, till then I will ride my yamaha this season and watch patiently from the sideline

well said nate! I totally agree on the comment of the yammi's being well balanced! Personally I cant stand DOO, but would love them to come out with the 1200 just to get the other mfg's going!!! Competition brings out the best in most everybody!

i sure hope this is true. i have no problems with my current xp but i would like to give one of these a try.
Hell I would love to try a nytro motor in an XP. I have wondered how much it would weigh. XP ride and weight with the reliability of a 4 stroke would be sweet.
Yes, reliability has been a problem at 150hp. What about 280?

I'm trying to keep them sled poor so they won't drink so much...but it's not working yet. Did you get yourself a fourstroke yet?Neil, maybe you need new/different "Riding Buddies"...Your liver would last longer.
