This summer i'm putting a 151 gen2 tunnel skid and track under mine.

Get a team driven clutch too, you can fined them used on ebay for under $100 That will help that sled allot.

well...it's a start!! 95 Storm bulkhead and 00 700 twin.

have a IQr tunnel, 151 x 2 camo challenger, and a bunch of goodies around the shop that I'll throw at it over the summer. Gonna try to clean out most of the sled parts hangin' around the workshop and build an old-school mountain wedge without killin' the budget.

Nothing bolted down yet. Just threw everything in there for a pic!!

Justpinitn have you ran those aaen pipes before I have the same ones on my 98 700 and they are loud!!! But they are a sweet set of pipes.

I have a buddy with the exact same pipes on his sled, so yeah, I know they're LOUD!! That's OK, it's going to be a secondary sled that won't get used every ride.

When the kids & wife all want to go riding at the same time, I'll pull out the old rat Polaris and make them suck my 2-stroke smoke and deafen them when I go by.....old-school style!! HAHA!!

Did yours come ceramic coated or did you have them redone like that? Mine are high temp painted and the paint just can't handle the heat at the heads of the pipe it just flakes off and looks like krap I've been considering having mine ceramic coated is it worth the $$$?

I got the pipes already coated. Not sure if they came from Aaen like that or not. They sure look a LOT better than the painted ones I've seen.

I'm in the process of striping out my smashed 03 ProX VES 700 sled, I've got all the front suspension off, just need to cut away more of the bulk head to get at the motor.

The plan is to swap in the motor and all electrics even gauge clusters, the team clutch. Not sure if I'll swap over the jack/drive shafts yet. I guess it depends on the final gearing. The Wedge is geared down a touch and the edge is stock gearing.

I'm thinking about swapping over the handle bars.

The gas tank and seat are gonna be swapped unless the mounts broke in the crash.

I'm thinking about cutting part of the tunnel from the Edge for a small extension on the RMK.. just somewhere to put gas cans if need be.

I plan to move over what skid suspension components I can, but keep the RMK track and rails.

So far only pics I have is of the Edge tear down/damage.

I think when I've got the Edge torn down and start to tear down the Wedge i'll start a thread for it.


this should be entertaining.. the only "work" I've done any sleds thus far has been motor mounts in the Wedge, chain case oil in the Wedge and minor suspension changes, like flip the blocks....
