Summer fun on the river

Ok, so we made our run down Westwater on Tuesday Aug 2. Here are the first of some of the videos I'm editting down. One advantage to having the SnowBigDeal.com guys along is that you have plenty of GoPros.

Notice the bathtub ring. Flows were 9800 cfs but earlier in the year they were over 30,000 cfs for quite some time and that's what the bathtub ring is from.

I did the split mountain one day tour this week. First time floating a river, first time white water. I can safely say I now have a summer addiction. probably one of the funnest things I have done. Takes a close to second in the fun factor rating to snowmobileing. It is peaceful, then adrenaline rush, beautiful....Everyone needs to do it. I'm trying to plan the next one already....

ACG, we do Split Mountain once a year or so... you should really plan on joining us on Westwater... Split Mountain X 5.

And I share your view... my neighbor Bruce took my on the river for the first time 5 years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I make take you up on that. I'm trying to figure out how I can schedule in a 3 or 4 dayer for next year. Don't think it will happen this year. Where do you guys usually go?

We love Westwater, its a fun trip. We have always done it as a 2 day trip, but this year did it as a one day trip a couple of times and that was fun.

We do Split Mountain as well and this year I did Nefittiti or however you spell that, right above Green River, Utah.

I'm trying to talk my buddy Bruce in to doing the Snake just for fun, but he hates the crowds up there, I don't blame him.

He has done the 4 day Yampa trip several times and I was thinking I should see if I could get him to do that next year as I've never done it.

Snowest Utahns river trip- I can see it now. Get a group together, 2 day trip, 4 or 5 go pros capturing all the action. Depending on time next year I may be down for that.
