Summer boots ADV vs MotoX?

Time for new boots, mine are beat!

Looking at Sidi. So would be the Adventure Rain vs Charger or Crossfire.

Like everything about the ADV boots, but the soles worry me. Have always had the flat stiff MX soles, and even hand them save my bacon when missing the pegs with my arch and only getting some toe on there.

However the ADV boots are more like my winter GTX, so in theory it would ease the transition and keep riding feel more the same for both seasons.

What say you'll?

My summer rippers. perfect for when you need to throw down some hiking mid ride.

If you are looking for summer only, I'm loving my Gaerne SG10s. The most comfortable boots I tried on and I tried quite a few of the upper brands.

Yup Gaerne are nice, supposedly they work well with wide feet.

I'm narrow, and Sidi is supposedly narrow.

Have been Alpinestars, my Tech 3 which I liked are so old all the plastic has rotted off. Tech 8 were doo doo new with the inner booties, and I've got most of the terrible buckles ripped off.

I've learned my lesson trying to use waterproof boots for serious warm weather trail riding. I got some Alpinestars Toucan boots last year, which are Gore-Tex and should be "breathable". They're very comfortable and I like them a lot, but if I do any kind of physical exertion while trail riding, especially on a warm day, my feet sweat and I end up with soggy, squishy feet all day. I bought a cheapo $50 used pair of Moose boots and rode for a day and didn't have the same problem. So my Toucans will now be used only for cool/wet weather rides or dualsport rides on the KLR and I'll find some new boots for trail riding on the WR. Probably some SG-10's since my feet are a little wide.

Are the Toucan tall enough for a creek crossing?

Creeks are what got me looking at waterproof, some are too technical and deep to not be on the pegs.

Anybody try Forma boots?
