Suggested RPM's 06 800 HO

I have tried the search feature without help. This sled is new to me and would like to get the most out of her without sacrificing reliability.

I have heard that the tach is off by about 150 rpms. It is stock engine and gearing with SLP pipe and can but no porting done. 151 inch track. It has a team secondary and I can check later on the helix and spring if needed.
On the tach, I am running about 8200-8300 down the road and when climbing (What little so far) it will hit 8200-8300 every now and then.

Thanks in advance,
Mutt

7950 is what the book says An yes the Tachs are off so 8200 on the tach should be good.

i knew the 07 up analog tachs were off but was under the impression the 06 was pretty accurate--our 06 didnt like 8000 plus on the tach

somewhere just over 8000 on the tach. if you want to play around. adjust your clickers down till the power falls off. then move back up

I have the slp power package on my 06 summit X. I was hitting 8500 on the tack and holding it which triggered a coolant leak and several check engines including detonation, over heat, over rev. So..... I adjusted it to about 8200 on the tral and a little less in the heavy snow. So far no lights. The clutch cover says that this sled should be adjusted to hit 7850.

Good luck.
