Studs/cover bolts on secondary??

Ok so I use the old style secondary from a Bearcat. Had to machine the sheaves so they would work with a normal width belt, P-85 primary.

Now when the sheaves closed in on each other further, this causes the rollers to climb up farther on the helix, to the point where it "rides" the edge.

This can be cured by spacing out the helix or lowering the cover with the rollers somehow.

My Q: does anyone know if the pin screws/studs/bolts that the roller-cover attaches to can be removed? Are they just threaded into the towers of the sheave?

Thanks for looking.

They are molded in when the part is cast, not removable. I found out the hard way by twisting one off several years ago. Somebody made some extenders so that the button style cover could be used on the newer roller clutch, but I don't remember who it was.

Finally someone to the rescue!!! Thanks a lot, now I don't have to ruin mine to find out..
