STUDDING A 2003 SKS WITH 144" TRACK??

I am planning on studding down the closed windows of the track so that is under the hi-fax. The track is a 1 1/4 and I was going to use 1.450 long studs I know I have to put tunnel protection in how do you think it will work for trail ridding????????????????????oh I live in michigan not out west:face-icon-small-fro

have you thought about using lug screws? I have no personal experience with them, but with a track that already has pretty good traction (except for ice obviously) this might be a nice compromise versus the true stud...

In my opinion 1.45 is too long.... tear outs, throwing studs into the heat exchanger... I'd go 1.325, as you really only need to go .125 beyond the lug height. That will be plenty. I wouldn't over stud it either (weight), consider 2 studs per. Good luck
