Studded trailer tires

Anybody ever install studded tires on an enclosed trailer? I rolled my trailer this weekend on a stretch of icy road, and am wondering if studs would help for next time. What's everyone think?

A friend I used to ride with had them on his enclosed he swore by them. Never had any personal experience. Hope everything turned out okay and no one was hurt.

Thanks guys, nobody hurt. Just crumpled up the trailer (interstate) a little. I don't tie the sleds down when transporting, just set the e-brake. they never move much, except when you roll the trailer on it's side:face-icon-small-sho Just want to minimize the chances of this happening again, thought maybe the studded tires would help.

depends how you rolled it.. if it slid into something sideways and toppled, or steepish ditch...

Studs would stop it from "drifting around" I did that with my car hauler the other day with a car on it.. lucky me it didn't faze my Durango. you're trailer brakes would work better. I know when it's really slick I have to practically turn off my trailer brakes other wise they like to lock and hte trailer does what ever it wants.

I have studded snow tires on my 21foot enclosed, i live in Breckenridge Colorado so the snow pack throws my trailer around, after my trailer almost took me down a cliff, i threw on some studded tires, haven't had a problem since! I love them!

A fair amount, i do 4 hour trips to wolf creek and 2 hour trips to rabbit ears probably five, six times a month. Because i rarely pull the trailer around in the summer, im guessing ill get 5 to 6 seasons out of a set.

I've always thought studs on the trailer would be a good idea. I just bought my first enclosed and want to get a set studded. Good to hear some people have done it and it worked.

Anyone remember a price on the studed tires?

Thanks, Matt.

We put studs on our Featherlite enclosed because we got stuck in traffic on a banked corner and the trailer slid sideways. Studs work great and fairly cheap.

i run them on my 27' triton also but just on front axle they work well. drive every 2nd weekend to mountaind 4.5-5hrs away 1 way and are holding up real well.
