Stuck the Phazer motor! Pics

So, I'm building a racecar with a phazer engine for my senior design project. We're running an aftermarket ECU system. We were working on fuel mapping, had it idling around 3,000 RPM when it stuck!

We're not sure exactly what happened, but we somehow lost oil pressure on the intake cam bearings. We think the cam somehow got plugged. The cam seized onto the head. Take a look.

What's the best way to resurface the bearing surfaces? Line bore? Can we sand 'em down? What do you suggest?

I would have to say this is not repairable.

Are you in Canada or the US? There is a person here in Kelowna doing the same thing.

I had two of our mechanics look at the pics, and the only other option would be custom cams and line bores the journals. Seeing as the buckets for the shims are also scored these would need to be replaced.

Long and the short is the cheapest route will be a new head. A used one if you can find it.

The mechanics both said it was an oil starvation problem that caused this. Check your oiling system before firing this engine again.

That's what I was afraid of hearing. The buckets look scored, but they're actually not, just a bad pic. I've got a guy that wants to buy the head for R&D I guess. A new head looks like it's going to run us over $500 bucks... which sucks...

I'm pretty sure that the cause of this was due to a plugged oil passage in the intake cam. I'm not sure yet...
