Stuck in TWIN FALLS, ID. What to do for fun?

B
I'm down here working on I-84 for the next few weeks. Just looking for some fellow sledders that know the good areas to do a little Varmint shooting. I brought a 22 and a 223.

I also brought the Harley down for another option on the weekends.

Any suggestions would be great.

Abomnable lives there, well pretty sure he does, I may have spelt his name wrong

I spent a few days there with my girlfriend, in the summer theres a few things to do, The golf course is nice

See if you can swim across the river :D

Harley over to Jackpot. Remember, however, Nevada has a freaking helmet law.:beer;

I was in Twin yesterday. If your riding the hog, go checkout thousand springs area, classic hog ride. The road goes along the river. Crater of the Moons, before it gets hot, lava tubes to walk through. Go up to Sun Valley and get in touch with your uppity side. Bruneau Sand Dunes is a single big sand dune, interesting if you've never seen one, no vehicles allowed. Jackpot is small, but the tables are always open. And, they serve Prime there. :face-icon-small-ton

Not much to do in Twin in my opinion. Was there last week and couldn't leave fast enough. Come on up to Stanley, still plenty of snow left up there. If you want to shoot varmints, you can go out to Fish Creek or around the Little Wood reservoir (Fish creek is better) out of Carey. Lots of squirrels coming out right now. Reminds me I need to get out and shoot some myself!
Oh and Steelhead is running right now. It's open till end of the month. Have to get a permit for it. I'm going to fish a little this week around Stanley. Guess it's still really good.

We cruised around town in the pickup today. With the weather here we should have brought the sleds.

Thanks for the advice. We might ride up to Sun Valley one of these weekends. I also didn't know Nevada had a helmet law. Thanks, Mike

Aw c'mon...Twin's not that bad. He could be stuck in Pocatello. :)

If you want a short rip on the bike head towards Hagerman. Gets a bit windy near the long bridge but you get to see the town of Buhl...which does have some pretty interesting dive bars. Miracle Hot Springs is open year 'round. Some of the best coffee in Hagerman (ha!) is at the Thunderbird Cafe. It's one block off the main strip behind the police station.

I'd head towards Sun Valley if it were me. Slack just started so there will be lots of sales and most of the restaurants will be offering deals as well. It's only a couple hour ride.

Boise is also only 2 hours away.

Mike, Ketchum is like 60 miles. There are GREAT places to eat.

Eat at Ricos and get the icecream cookie desert. FREAKING AWESOME italian eats. Their calzones are Great.

The Red Elephant in Hailey is really good too.

That freakin valley has a MILLION little bistros and restraunts that are fantastic. All the way from Bellevue to Ketchum.

Did you PM turbotater?

Hey Scott, Thanks for the call last night. I was the DD for some of the crew. What a riot last night, but they paid today HA HA HA.

I didn't PM Turbo tater, because my sled is at home and I need to get some miles on the scooter before I head back home to the snow.

I hope to have this weekend off if nothing breaks tomorrow.

Talked to the wife, she said it's still snowing off and on at home.
