Stuck in the woods

So after a few close calls broken down and riding out double, I have decided to build a light weight trailer to pull behind a two ski , don't like the option of taking it apart out there and dragging it back to the trailer piece by piece, and I know guys have towed out behind a sled but if you have to go back the the trailer to get a 2 ski might as well bring a trailer/skid/toboggan back and tow it out without a person holding on for dear life, any one have any ideas, I'm thinking of an aluminum ladder frame with out board skis and a plastic bottom? Any ideas would be helpful

I was thinking of something along the lines of a car dolly with skis where you put the track on the car dolly thing backwards then strap it down, reverse the ski on your bike then tow it out backwards. Not sure if you would need to tie the handlebars off to the foot pegs but probably.

Then your workin,g on it out there again ,,but good thought I think we would still need out riggers to keep from tipping over though

What about a ski on a couple of struts that quick-clamps to the front fork at the axle and the triple clamp, creating kind of a bi-pod arrangement with the main front ski when the bike is leaned over. Then another ski that could be strapped to the rear track. This is moot if you wreck the front fork.

Up here we have a trail named after a berg that failed twice in the same area. I'll never ever attempt to try and kick one of those stupid things ever again, ever... I swear that stupid bike did my hip in.

I hear you! You can never tell what going to break hondas, valves, kawis, pistons,KTM's cam bearings and 70 degree bergs any thing, but to be able to tow one Out, priceless!

There are large plastic tubs made for towing through the snow. I've seen them at North 40 farm and Ranch stores. The biggest size I think you can lay a bike in, to keep a low center of gravity, but it wouldn't lay flat. At least the track and heavy part of the machine would be inside of it. It sold for $230, I think. In my opinion, it you tried to keep it upright, it would just keep falling over on hills or corners.

I have been wondering what the break rates are on bikes and what they are breaking down due to?

Fuel pump on FI bikes, had bearings on the drive, broken chains and gears!and how ever it turns out ,I will be able to lay the bike down on it also, either way the bikes coming out and going home!

Check out an old ski patrol toboggan. They have a fixed pull point and the sled has two skegs on it so it won't slide out. You can even tie them down standing vertical with tie down straps. When I have used them they were a Cascade Toboggan. Slick kits.

IMO make one of these out of some toboggans or something that you can assemble quick at the bikes location
