Stuck In Revelstoke!

Just drove 8 hours in the rain to Revy and as we tried to move a 2013 Pro from one trailer to another another to get ready to ride tomorrow. The sled has an issue. It starts but will not rev up past 1800 rpm. As the throttle is depressed the thing bogs and cuts out. If the throttle is let off the sled goes back to an idle. If the throttle is held on the thing goes Baaaaa then sputters and dies. Any thoughts? The thing rode up onto the trailer last night without skipping a beat.

Mine did that same thing. Figured out my TPS some how got disconnected.

My 13 did same thing, Throttle safety switch.. also check cable slack and for any cable binding.

Goodluck!

Replace plugs, they are cheap and you never know....had one go back last week and ran on one cylinder.

Water in the gas,,,, does it keep starting,, mind did same thing , but after 7 or 8 starts , it wouldn't start anymore

Thanks for all the help. Where does the TPS plug in?

I do not think there is an ice issue because it is not freezing here right now.

The plug for the TPS is in front of the steering post. I had a similar issue a few days after my trip to revy last month. It ended up being the TPS and voltage regulator. the sled idled fine but bogged under throttle if I gave it a quick burst of gas it was ran but only for a second. I also have a dead gauge so if yours is fine its your TPS also the sled will not run if you eliminate the TPS it has 2 resistors in it and unless its getting the exact voltage it won't run. the poo dealer from what I know is on your way to veron a few min from sicamous there maybe one closer to you thou.

Good Luck

Also they changed TPS in 2013 so a 12 will not work.

You're referring to the TSS (throttle safety switch). The TPS (throttle position sensor) is completely different, and located on pto side of throttle bodies.

To OP... These guys are advising to check the TSS

Man I hope you get this figured out quickly. Sucks to have a sled break down while sitting on a trailer on the way to the mnt.

Thanks for the advice. We are working on it now. Sounds like it is either the TSS or TPS.

When ya get Er going an get up there. Let us know how high it's raining an what the snows like. Should be epic deep by the looks of things!

did you get it resolved? had one do this once and after trying all the obvious things it ended up being the stator. If it wasn't the TPS or TSS then start checking you voltage pre and post regulators.
