Strange Clunk in driveline

Anybody noticed a strange chunk chunk chunk when taking off on their 2013. We swapped drivebelts and the QD belt and its still there. We also went through the primary and secondary and made sure the track tension was correct. It only seems to do it on inital take off.

We noticed that after a long pull and you grab the brake the lever goes almost to the bar. Has there been issues with dragging brakes on the 2013's?

We are going to take the upper pulley off today and try to figure out whats going on.

I saw in the drivetrain section where the jackshaft bearing was seizing and the shaft was spinning in the race, building up heat.

I have noticed on all the Polaris models with PERC that there is a initial clunk(only1) when going forward after being in reverse. Doesn't sound like the same noise you are experiencing..?

Mine is Definitely a chuck chunk chunk feeling. I though there were teeth missing off the QD belt but it still looks good. It feels like it may be skipping a tooth but its still tight and I would imagine if it was skipping it would have ripped cogs off.

More then likely your jackshaft bearings have failed. This happened to my stock 13 right at 700 miles. It will allow the brake disc to move back and forth pushing your pads in... Then on initial brake apply you have to take up the slack. hope this helps

clunk

Mine does that to , it comes and goes It was doing it this weekend. I noticed i had about .20 gap between the washer and the secondary clutch, checked the bolt it was tight. Thinkin the clutch is hitting the washer ? Is that the right spacing between the washer and clutch ?

+3 on jackshaft. mine had a weird clunk as well, couldnt find it but it bothered me for a couple hundred miles. finally got so bad i could wobble the upper QD pulley. before i found it i kept checking my clutches, it sounded like it was coming from that side of the sled.

looks like I sucked something through the tunnel and there is bent aluminum in the front that is hitting the lugs. Easy fix.

Thanks Guys

Same one. There was a little lip and I must have bottomed out more and the track caught it. It's all good now.
