My buddy took the Cat off a couple weeks ago and today we finished it up by removing the Muffler from his 06 Powerstroke...

I had a buddy straight pipe his '98 Cummins. It was stupid load, especially when he hammered on it. You could hardly stand to be in the cab when he was driving it. Needless to say, he spent quite a bit of time on the side of the road talking to the boys in blue.

where at? I've had mine turbo back straight for over a year and no cop trouble. I go into minnesota alot too since I'm so close and even over there, no trouble. montana, south dakota, no trouble. I know of a few guys with straight piped duramaxes that have got in trouble but a straight d-max is a lot cracklier like a gas motor, as are powerstrokes. but i dont know anyone with a piped cummins thats been in trouble for it
