Stolen Snowmobile Gear

Some friends and I went riding Saturday at Gallagher and decided to stop by the Brick on the way out. We had a few too many and decided not to risk the DUI and we ended up staying with a friend for the night instead of driving. So we left the truck and trailer parked in front of The Brick for the night thinking it would be safe. Some of you may have seen the truck, a white F-350 with 2 XP's on the sled sled deck and a trailer with a Pro and an M8 on it.

So on to what happened. We returned to the truck in the morning, and right away one of the guys noticed his gear bag was gone from the trailer. After we started checking stuff out, we saw that the entire trailer was disconnected, wires chains and all. The people who did this were planning on just dropping out trailer, and hooking it up to their truck and off they would go. I do not know if they got spooked and took off or what happened, but luckily they did not get the sleds.

The missing items in the gear bag was a SnowPulse Avy Pack, A Tracker Beacon, a Troy Lee Designs Helmet, some gloves and some other gear. The biggest deal is the Avy Pack as many of you could imagine, they are not cheap.

I know there a lot of things that were stupid, like my buddy leaving his bag on the trailer and not having a lock on the trailer and what not, but that is not why I am posting all this. I do not need to hear the "Dumb move" comments and what not, i am well aware of that. All i am doing is trying to get the word out there to everyone so that this does not happen to you. If you are in the area in Roslyn, keep your stuff locked up tight, there is theives running around out there. Also, if you know anything, please PM and let me know. Thank you.

sucks. I hate thieves. I dream about coming back to the snopark late at night just to catch someone coming out of my trailer. Plan is to just run them down with my sled at 25-30mph. "Oops, I didn't see you there in the dark coming out of MY trailer". I am grinning just thinking about it now.

Saw you parked there Sunday morning as we drove by all was quite. Then when we stopped after our ride in the afternoon. Couple shaddy guys hanging outside there made me peek outside a few times. Might just ask the bartenders if they know the knuckle heads.

ZERO tolerance for thieves.....PERIOD!!!!:laser::laser::laser: You may want to check to see if ANY of the buildings around the Brick have survellance cameras! Good luck and hope these thieving BASTARD$ get their Fuc@ing a$$e$ CAUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thieves

Sunday night 4 enclosed trailers were cut open in roslyn/ronald (took only helmets it looks like), Monday night 1 enclosed trailer cut open (took 2 sleds, Mountian max 700, 900 Polaris, both blue) time to do some late night sitting. Any info on the sleds would be great, sleds did not have keys in them. :face-icon-small-fro Sad to say but watch your stuff until they get caught.

Snowmobile Trailer Breakins

Sorry to hear about your gear. I know the Brick has surveillance cameras inside but have you asked if they have outdoor ones? If they do, maybe they caught the thieves on tape! Wouldn't that be nice?!

Also, not sure if you've reported it to the police but would love for you to as there may be a problem regarding snowmobile trailer break-ins going on in Roslyn. Our trailer was also broken into, which sits in our front yard right in Roslyn. They were probably shocked to find it empty when they opened it though (thank goodness) as nothing was stolen. The thieves basically cut the latch that the lock was on to get in.

Our friends trailer was also broken into, just down the street from ours. They stole all their full gas cans but left all the sleds.

Thank you for everyones concerns and suggestions. We did report it to the police. They basically said that if it isnt nailed down it will walk away. I reported it in hopes of maybe the local police will start cracking down on night on weekends and increasing patrols. I checked all the buildings around the brick for cameras and none of them had any. Maybe we need to take control of this and set up our own little operation. I'd be up for sleeping in a covered trailer for the weekend and waiting. I want to catch these punks and get them what they deserve. All of us work hard for everything we have to support our love for snowmobiling. Nobody has a right to come and steal what we work for. It really pisses me off.

Reported to sheriff, they said there has been a lot of trailers broke into this year, and that the sleds were more than liking long gone. Doesn't seem to me that the cop care to much, all the trailer have been broke into the same way. its time for a decoy, them only time will tell.

This sucks! Sorry to hear all this. I will be heading up that way soon, looks like I need to be better prepared for anything that could happen. Time to get a trail cam for trailer.

I've lived in cle elum my whole life, the whole upper county is full of junkies and punks with no jobs and nothing better to do than rip people off for some dope. Good luck with the cle elum/Roslyn police, they are about as worthless as they come. The whole 3 of them that patrol on a Saturday night are more worried about giving DUIs which they proudly display under the "welcom to cle elum" sign.

It's ballsy to try and steal a trailer with sleds out front of the brick, I would say its pretty well lit out there, luckily they didn't get the trailer and I'm sure the dumbasses will post the gear on craigslist. The worst part is IF they were to get caught they would get a slap on the wrist and be at it again the following weekend.

Best of luck to you and I will keep my eyes and ears open

You should post a sign under the DUI sign that says "Welcome to Cle Elum- we had14 sleds stolen this year"

Seriously. They sure are proud of that. Other than DUIs they couldn't catch a fish in water. When I was in high school I had a jacked up F350, one night they stopped me as I was coming out of the hills, there must have been 6 locals and a couple counties looking for a truck that had went up there, they actually asked if they could barrow my truck......seriously? And the female officer thinks she's walker Texas ranger.

I like the idea of getting a half of dozen pickups and trailers and park the. Around town and put a few guys in each one just waiting, that's the only way anything will get done. I would love to participate.

It was the female officer that took the report haha she was a flippin joke, she just kept repeating herself like I didnt know that it was a mistake to leave it out. she was so serious I had to screw w her a little, we were all laughing at me hitting on her and she still acted like a snoody kunt. BTW i already got my insurance $$$$ from the theft and new avy pack and helmet and gear bag is on the way. .

ALSO! I have to say thank you to Derek for being a solid dude, what he didnt tell you about the crappy weekend was my sled broke down in the back country... we had to leave it there, long story, well i have to work this weekend and Derek is going to get it for me today. solid bro SOLID!
