Stolen Snowcat-Reno, NV ** Been Found**

On Nov. 12, I posted a thread on the old forum for a good friend of mine here in Reno who had his Thiokol Snowcat stolen. Last night he received a tip on where the cat was hidden. Called the cops, went to the house in Sun Valley(next to Reno/Sparks), spotted the cat and they arrested the dirtbag who stole it. A real bad dude with a long rap sheet. The trailer was not there, so the cops are trying to track it down.

Great ending to story. Always nice when the good guys win.

Guess there is a Santa Claus.

Glad to hear that there was partial resolution. Can you share any details on the tip...was it someone from here? At any rate, glad to hear you got the big piece of equipment back.

Was it a tip for a reward or how did you find out about its whereabouts?? Nice to hear that he got it back. Trailer was probably sold to somebody.

The guy who gave him the tip wanted to remain anonomous. Only thing we can figure out is that this guy might have had a h/o for the dirtbag who stole it and turned him in. Don't know if the guy was a sledder or not. Bob offered him a reward. The cops were called because a police report had been filed and the area where this guy lives isn't the best of areas. Why take a chance. If there is a problem, let the cops take target practice.
