Stolen Sleds Butte MT

2 of my buddies sleds were stolen today from Butte Mt. They were on a 1995 2 place Kara tilt trailer, has orange stripes on the side.

1st sled: 2007 rmk 600 155, stock except Polaris rear rack, under seat bag, rear tunnel bag, and has rmk black cover.

2nd sled: 1998 Yamaha 700 triple, red sled with blue flames, has red cover.

I'm not sure how they got them, but if anyone happens to see them please shoot me a pm.

Thanks
Shawn

i lived in butte about 10 yrs ago that happened alot when i was there i hope you find them. but the person that took them when i was there is still in town.. good luck pm me

well, if they are headed my way, I will see them in about two more hours:face-icon-small-con Hate to see this, but I will keep an eye out in Kal. and let my bro in Belgrade know. That SUCKS:mad:

The 2 sleds and trailer were found a few days ago. They were found close to the North Dakota border, just south of Wibaux heading tward baker. The local police called my buddy last week and said they were found down a dirt road sitting behind a hill. From the looks of it the trailer must have come off the towing rig at some time because his 07 600 rmk is pretty much trashed, and the yamaha has plenty of road rash as well. At least these dirt bags didnt have fun on the sleds. Hopefully the cops get them.

Good news that they found them, not so good that they're trashed.

Wibaux is a long ways from Butte. It's hard to believe people just hit the roads and drive around with stolen stuff like that. Sure makes you wonder.

WOW....makes me wonder if they were going to somewhere in MN. It is amazing what great lengths people will go to steal something. So now what we need to do is start looking for lots of sled parts coming from that area...either on Ebay, or on forums (I would hope they don't use this forum to part out sleds that are stolen). I would think that these people are not riding these sleds legally if they are, because I think that a snowmobile has to have a title to ride on trails in ND????? I am unsure of this.... I am just trying to write down my thoughts. Investigation can do wonders.

Colorado doesn't title sleds they just register them and off you go.
Some other states may be the same way. I don't know.
But it is kinda scarry the way sleds up and dissapear never to be seen again.
