Stolen Sleds *AND* Trailer From Anaconda, MT

Thread Rating
4.00 star(s)
On Saturday the 16th of Feburary, some Rude & Crude bunch of guy's decided to break the $30.00 lock on our 2004 Zieman Drive ON/Drive Off 2 place trailer on the corner of 5Th and Madison in Anaconda, MT. The trailer had BOTH of our machines on it!! The Police have a few leads, but there were several events going on this weekend in town and there were a lot of "just passing through" people around. It's not that I don't have faith in my local law enforcement, but it's folks like all of you that know how we feel and see things like this happen. I've posted a hefty reward and flyers all over town and the surrounding areas, as well as made calls to all the local dealers and "chop shops". If anyone can help in this matter..... I beg that you please do!

* 2001 800 RMK 144" in track. Blue with red and yellow hood graphics. We customized it with yellow vent loovers, mountain bar, ski hooks, skid plate and handle grips. This sled also had a black "Polaris" trunk bag for our cooler, a multi colered window bag and several Yellow "Scott" decals on it.

* 2002 800 RMK 144" track. The traditional red, gray, and silver and blue.
Red skid plate and red window bag, and a "special" sticker for Dad that said ("Big Dog") on the center of the window. This sled has red trailing arms and was equipt. with a special air box and can.

Both sleds had tarps on them and the trailer was black with Yellow "Zieman" writting on it and the one axle wheels were white.

A reward is offered, please keep and eye out....there are few poker runs left this season and we plan to show up looking. It makes me sad to see my husband grieve so badily for something he worked so hard to get and pay off! And to just see some jerk think he can hook on to that much of someone elses property and not blink and eye!!

Thanks again...... this is my first time and your forum was reccomended by a friend. Love to all Sledheads out there and to all that knows how my husband
feels. Julie from Anaconda , MONTANA

That is pretty ballzy of whoever did it "like I said on another thread a lock is to keep honest people honest and they will never hear the bullet" good luck.

sorry to hear this, Thieves Suck! May Karma Kill who stole them, and them sleds find their way home safely.

I would get in touch with every shop in MT&ID that you could, the western half of this state anyways and get flyers printed with pics of sleds and trailer.

Punks

Sorry to hear about your loss.I hope they find the punks that stole them.Did you have insurance? I'll keep my eyes peeled here in the west end and let my buddies know up north in the Flathead country.
Hope you have some investgative skills, the cops probably won't be much help unless the guys are total idiots.
Ditto to what Spud said...hope they have the worst Karma imaginable!

Sorry to hear about this. Not likely they'll end up down here, but I'll keep my eye out in NM and CO.
Oh, and worst possible wishes go out to the fuggin thieves!

You probably already know this, but Polaris has a hotline for stolen sleds that you can post the vin#s on, so if they should happen to go into a dealer.
Good luck. I had my 4-place trailer and sleds stolen 3 yrs ago, luckily the state police found them six months later.

Julie, I grew up in Anaconda and now live in Missoula we travel alot from Butte to the Idaho line and north to Seeley. I will get the word and description out to everyone we know, best of luck. P.S. also watch areas like e-bay and craigslist.

My friend had 2 sleds and the trailer stole from Butte a month or so ago. They were recovered somewhere near Wibaux Mt. You might want to call the police dept there and give them the info. Hopefully they turn up!

I travel from Butte to Seattle and from Butte to West yellowstone often, Ill keep my eyes open.
Cant imagine how much this would hurt and piss me off if this were to happen to me

We should be allowed to HANG criminals again

Seems like there are enough peep's looking for the sleds, I'm going to fire up the backhoe and start digging the hole, I hate an F'N THIEF!!!!!! B
