Stolen Sled ***UPDATE***

I received a call today just before 3 from the police. At approximately 4pm I identified the 2 sleds that were stolen back in March. The insurance company owns the Ski Doo so it was left with the police.

I am happy to say that I now have my 900 RMK back and that makes me happy because I did not have theft insurance on it. The down side is the seat is ripped and the plastics are broken on the right side but at least I will be able to ride this winter after a bit of repair.

I spoke to the Woods Cross Police Chief and he told me they had been working for a while to get a search warrant for AAA Summit Storage where my sled was at. He did not divulge any details if this has led to any arrests yet.

It looked like they had a 10x20 unit stacked to the brim. They had piles of crap sitting on top of the sleds when they opened the door. There were 2 motorcycles and a 4 wheeler also. There were 8 or 9 tool boxes, stereo equipment. It looked like a bunch of stuff taken from garages. Tires, wheels, jack stands ………. So if you have had a garage broken into I would call the Woods Cross Police and go see if you can identify anything.

Man that is SWEET!!! glad you got your sled back, now if we could find kevcos...

I found out that State Farm does not give the owner the chance to buy back the vehicle once the claim has been paid. So the 2009 Ski Doo will go to auction at Insurance Auto Auction in Ogden. The plastic had been removed but all the peices looked to be there. It might be a good buy for someone.

I am trying to buy a house so I will not be participating.

Now I am going to find out what the police have going on some arrests. I'm pretty sure they need some new meat at the Davis County lockup!!!!!

They need to classify stolen sleds as horses, and bring back the old "Horse Thief Law"

I think these thiefs would think twice after they witnessed a couple of public hangings...

+1 I like the way you think.

I poked around the plethora of stolen goods and could not find anything that I recognized. My thought is they probably took the trailer, unloaded the sleds then everything else went somewhere else with the trailer.
