Stolen sled recovered

Hello,
Just thought I'd post this fyi.
Our sleds and trailer were stolen from my house xmas eve of 08 in Sherwood Park, and one of them turned up in Saskatoon. The RCMP found it last fall, but didn't get around to telling anyone until a month ago (Which cost my insurance co. 2200.00 in impound fees).
It was in the possession of a woman on an acreage filled with stolen equipment and atv's near Saskatoon.
It was an 07 Summit 550 Fan that I bought for my wife 2 xmases before, so probably not many guys wanted it. Who knows where my Crossfire 1000 and trailer ended up.
Anyways, for guys looking for sleds stolen from Edmonton and area, maybe it's worth posting pics in the flatlanders sections of this forum or other forums/newspapers....the RCMP officer I spoke with seemed to think guys are regularily coming from Sask into Sherwood Park to take atv's. Who the hell would ever see them on that drive at 4 in the morning??

i heard from a friend a couple years ago, one of his friends was offered 2 sleds on a trailer delivered from alberta for like $2500...... it was a while ago so i doubt i could ever get a name but i bet alot of that happens.

Its ****ty, ive had a quad stolen in Prince Albert a few years back but i was sure it was indians being that it was for sale and sat for YEARS in the same spot not locked up, posted it for sale in the paper and it was gone, even had it basically sold to older sask power guy that seemed like he wouldnt have done it but you never know.

Now i keep the quad and the sled in the garage always and i never leave the door open long enough for anyone to get a sneak peak.

Yeah I have them in the garage now too, and I have to leave my truck outside to block our trailers in so they don't get stolen. I'm getting really tired of the inconveniences and extra work in trying to stop people from stealing my things. Sure would be nice to park in my garage in winter but I guess I can't. :boom:
