Stolen motorcycle Littleton area

Stolen motorcycle Littleton area -recovered

My wife's Yamaha was stolen last night from our driveway. It was a 2002 Yamaha XT 225 dual sport. It had white fenders and blue seat/frame. There was writing on the front fender at some point, like race numbers or something. It's a real bummer as she love that thing. I guess someone came by and tossed it in a truck. They left my old bike sitting there (it was in pieces being worked on) and took hers. I was hoping the Denver folks could keep there eyes open.

Hopefully they will leave my sleds alone in the back yard.

Crap -- since you live about 10 blocks (or less) from me, I'll keep an eye out in case it's some kids or something. Guess I better keep an eye on my stuff too...

This is not the exact bike, but it looks just like it if you add some faint black marks on the front fender and headlight cover. Thanks for watching out guys.

Thanks for all the help and well wishes. It was found behind a garage in some apartments nearby. It appears the only damage is the ignition and the fork cap it mounts in. About $300 or so to fix. Better than no bike, I guess. Probably some punk kid in the neighborhood swiped it and couldn't hot wire it. I'm still pretty pissed, but at least we have it back.

Time to invest in some locks and security lighting.

Meth.....Meth....Meth.....Meth and well .......Meth

From some one who deals with this crap all the time, the vast majority, 70% or higher, property crimes commited in the metro area are directly realated to the use, distrubution and sale of Methamthetamine ! This drug has truly changed our communities !

I'm glad they got it back for you. If it wasnt the Police who found it, make sure you call them and ensure it has been taken out of CCIC/NCIC as stolen. Most people forget to call when they get it back. Really sucks to get arrested (even briefly) for possesing your own motorcycle.
