Hey guys,

Im going to be dropping cornices and jumping around quite a bit.

Should I......

-Run mine until they blow (if they blow)
-Upgrade to some Walker shocks that come stock on the Assaults?
-Upgrade to something else

Im 6ft5 220lbs

Just from your size I can tell you that you will be upgrading shox after a couple of days of riding on the stockers if you do any jumping. They don't hold up well to a lot of weight and jumping.

If you could get some stiffer springs on WE piggy backs(assault shox) that would be nice. If you want the cats meow go with exit shox from Zbroz. Fox evols are a great option too. Bottom line is sooner or later you are gonna be upgrading. If it were me, id upgrade now, and try and sell off the stock shox.

Also not sure how serious you are about jumping but if you are going to do a lot I would consider picking up some bomber rails from Ice Age. The stockers like to tweak under heavy weight and jumping... Nothing sucks works than losing your entire day to tweaked rails off the first little hip jump...

I think a tweaked rail is the least of his worries consider the sled he bought was totaled...lol

The Pro was a huge step up from the suspension on the IQ...but what wasn't?

The shocks on the Pro (WE's) are fine for busting around in the powder but even the bumps on a trail will bottom the rear out. I went to X1's all around and love them. They are a tad heavier but totally worth it! There are other options with Raptor, Fox and some others. Don't wait to break suspension components before you make the change. I think my stock skid does fine with my shock upgrades.

You could also do the kits for the WE's, but I think its only if you don't have the coin for some serious shocks. My Exit's have beefier center shafts and a ton more adjust ability over the WE's that are revalved. You are too big for the stock shocks!

Thanks for the feedback guys! Im picking the sled up today, so I'll ask the dealer if he has any shock upgrades that I can trade+cash for. Im 100% sure Ill blow these out first day lol.

..exactly, get rid of them and save yourself the frustration. As a bigger guy you have to do something with the suspension. The sled is a lot better with nice shocks, don't be afraid to send whatever you get in and get them dialed for your weight and style. The difference can be astonishing!

Also...I have sold two sets of WE front shocks for around $300-$350. So keep that in mind as you can recoup some of your expense on the nasty shocks!
