stock shock/timbersled suspension???

I have a 2008 nytro with a timbersled rear suspension, one of my fox floats is bad and I need something to replace it for next weeks ride until I get it fixed. Will a stock shock work in place of the fox float to get me by. Its the front shock on the rear suspension, I am not at my sled right now so I cant compare the two of them. thanks

I would think that you'd be grossly undersprung IF you can get it to fit....

What's wrong with the Fox? They are easily rebuildable.....

I am not sure, I had to send the rear one back to them because it would not hold the rear suspension up. he told me that sometimes they get put together wrong from the factory. He fixed the rear one for me, now the front one is doing the same. does anyone know how to take them apart, I maybe able to fix it myself. thanks

I think the stock shock will work. to take the fox apart the air chamber is a sleeve. Hold the top of the shock and turn the air chamber sleeve counter clock wise it will unthread from the top of the shock and and you can slide it off shock.

Hey redbull660 did you get your rear suspension this year? I got on for my apex and it bottoms out...I can push the skid right to the bump stops without to much efffort...my buddies Nytro from last year is good, can't push that one down....

I got the suspension this year, it works awsome. I talked to Allen and he helped me get it setup properly.

it took 5 days for parts to get to alberta from allen just b4 xmas.....90psi in front,130 in rear and i cant bottom it out.

One shock needed to be sent to Allen, he fixed it the same day he got it and sent it right back, took about 4 days.
