Stock air filter cage with frogskinz shower cap

Ordered up the frogskinz fabric and had the wife craft me a shower cap with the fabric. I’ll likely add a thin strip of weather strip around base upon install but should do the job nicely. Someone else mentioned using a heated up nail to make the bolt hole in the fabric when installing. Hopefully my pictures will attach here ok. The help on this site has been extraordinarily helpful.

Very nice , the only concern with that material is that the pours are so fine that it can stop breathing without looking like it's plugged .

Stuff works great but you'd be surprised how dirty snow is and what gets knocked out of trees .

It doesn't happen over night but I thought if you where not aware of it I'd mention it , a little preventative maintenance in the garage . That's one of the reasons a lot of sled guys no longer use it .

Band was about a 1/4” elastic material you can buy at a craft store or sewing section at walmart. Thanks for the heads up on the material clogging up. With how easy it was to make I may just make another one to throw in my kit. Wouldnt take much to swap out on the mountain if needed. ?

What he meant was specifically the frogskinz brand pre filter material is prone to clogging.

Slp pre filter fabric is much more durable and never clogs.

must be some extreme situation when the frog clogs. I have sold many rolls of the bulk frogskinz for filters and never seen a problem. 6 years on frog material for filters in our riding group, ktm kaw suz honda, only clogged filters were original FS snorkel setups that clog in blower powder.
