According to 3 very reliable sources that I have talked to, the 10' gives an SLP perf package 09 a He11 of a run for the money. Dammit I wish I would have sold the Poo8 when I had a chance

There is absolutely no way that a 2010 will keep up with a piped 09!! Well that what I keep telling myself anyway
Like said above 09 w/ SLP performance package is more on the same level as the 2010 I ride a slp piped 09 and have seen them 2010's rip and they are impressive!

a piped 09 m8 is more comparable to a stock 09 m1000. the 2010 will beat it. the performance package 09 m8 will beat the 2010 stock.

Lets not get into the rider thing, this guy ask about sled for sled, no variables, no riders. At this point you are comparing a broke in 09 to a new, tight sled with very few miles. My sources were the top Cat dealer in Eastern ID, a veteran RMSHA Cat rider and a tech from SLP. I did not say the 2010 will beat an 09 mod, I simply said that the 10 would give it a run for the money. That means very competitive. No I have not seen it, but when three non-biased people who are not trying to sell me something give me info, I listen
i had a totally ported, exhaust system, well clutched 08 m-8, dynoed at 168 hp.....my 2010 m-8 with clutching, definitely out runs the 08....as compared with my 09 1000 with porting, exhaust and clutching which kicks both of them, but the 2010 m-8 runs closer...
I sold my 09 M8 with the full SLP pipe set on it to a buddy, (1200mi. well set up good running sled). With 150mi. on my 2010 M8 we did a drag race across a lake and the 2 sleds were dead even piped for 100% stock. On the hill I think the 2010 will beat the 09 just because it revs so much quicker than the old engine.
How about big bored M7? Has anyone raced 2010 against good running M7@8?
Pal called just some hours ago. He was driving with his longtracked CF8 -07 with Jaws twins and another pal with his M8 2010. He was biting his lip and swearing aloud as stock sled performed at least as well as his cf

I agree with this,
08 and 09 m8's with full performance package(exact same setup) and the 08 had a PC on it. the 09 flat beat it.
