sticky throttle

09 M8 developed a sticky throttle on the hill once it sat for a bit, thought it was a cable but turned out it is the throttle body shaft.
I run premix and Im thinking its the oil.
Any thoughts ?

Yes it sat on the hill for a bit while we dug a sled out , got cold then the throttle would not return.(stuck open) got my hand in by the throttle body's and closed the throttle by hand , started it and drove off at 1/4 throttle till things warmed up and it worked as it should but once the sled was at home in the warm garage I was checking things over and it's not the cable it's the throttle bodies, in the garage the throttle would return to the closed posision but slowly.
I run Amsoil Dominator and I know it's a bit sticky so ,, that's my guess. Just seems weird

No I never removed them.
Since you brought it up do you think there would be a HP increase without any side effects?

personally I don't have the heater hoses on my throttle body and have not had any issues with freezing up, however I don't ride in weather colder than -20*C. The hoses make it a PITA to take the throttle body off if one needs to check reeds etc.
