Stewart Mountain Lodge

I love this place. Great lodge, perfect location (2 bars within an easy stumble), nice rooms, great prices...the owner will help dig you out on the hill and I even came down one morning to see him shoveling a path to my truck and brushing the snow off of it. Now that's customer service.

I spent five days in Stewart and rode the deepest snow I've seen. Some of the guys there estimated the snowfall while we were there to be about 10 feet on the mountain. The road into Stewart was closed for several days because of heavy snow and avy danger. The snow was just stupid deep, I have a 136 X 2" and got stuck track poaching on flat ground constantly...even the guy with a 163" was wishing for a longer track. It's weird to be moving forwards and only your handlebars are above the snow.

First morning in Stewart...this would become a familiar sight.

I would love to get up to Stewart one day, heard nothing but great things about it and Stewart mountain lodge.

Any pic's of the ''stumblin" ? hehe

I'm not in Stewart anymore but will be headed back in mid May when the snow sets up a little more so I can actually get off the trail.

No pics of the stumbling....but a good time was had by all. Sunday is kareoke(sp?) night.

That's insane deepness Mike, looks like you had a blast! ;) Time to buy a longer ride for your next trip.
