Steering relocation kit

Just sold my 09' assault after selling my 08' XP and bought a nytro for $8,000 (looking to be able to ride a sled more than 18 miles without blowing a crank or having my "extra light" tunnel fold up) Anyone running the CR steering relocation? Just wondering what the difference is between that one and the WildChild is. thanks

The only problem I have seen with those relocation kits is wearing out the lower stearing column bushings.

When you push the top of the post forward the lower mount/bushings are fixed in place so it puts extra pressure on the upper part of the lower bushing. Unless you bend the two studs that hold the lower bushings it pushes up on the bushing wearing it out prematurely, causing some slop in the lower post, It will also throw you steering alignment out a minute amount.

See a couple sleds with these relocaters have worn out bushings.

thanks for the help. Do you guys use anything else beside the steering relocation kit? how about a different kind of riser.

Wildchild deliver a new lower bushing with the kit, then you must bend the 2 studs 3 mm forward, not a big deal!

My works great and no problems at all.

I'm using the CR steeiring kit and it works good. Definitely not as pretty as wildchild's, but for the money...it works great!!
I also swapped over to the CR "T" style steering post and run Fly risers with MX Fat Bars...

What size risers did you put on? how tall are you? I'm looking for some ideas with risers. do you need extended cables? thanks

I used a CR steering post with a 6" FLY riser (7/8" - 1 1/8") and a set of 1 1/8" Sunline Fat Bars with about a 3" rise. I'm 6' and the stance is perfect...usually the taller you are - the longer your arms are too:D

I have wildchilds kit and it rocks. That combined with a Powermadd pivot adpater and riser and the rider positioning feels sooooooo good.
