Mine does, it means your steering hoops is probably bent. I know mine sure is!
best way to tell is to pull your fuel tank cowel and look at the foam bumper pads that rest on your tank
it is very clear to see if they have shifted from where they have originally sat.
I just ran out to the garage to check mine out. It does hit when turning to the right and moves the air box a little and the steering hoop is not bent. There is also no sign of wear on the plastic air box or paint from the steering shaft after 7 seasons, but it does hit.
I rolled mine about 7 times down a hill. Bent the mount plate and shaft. Did a quick fix at the mountain. I just bent mine so now it just touches it but does not move it.
I first bent the second highest bend by putting a wrench in and pulling on steering.
Then I put a smaller wrench between the hoop and top bend and bent the T part vertical. Then I put the top mount back on and bent the T straight.
It rubbed the oil tank a bit so I just moved the top mount to the other side of the bracket now its perfect no rubbing.
Also noticed in the first pic the foam polaris puts between the coolant bottle And coolent hose off the head was rubbed away and the hose felt thin so I put a new chunk of foam there.
Oil was leaking from the sensor. Had to put a hose clamp on it.
