on a sharp left turn on the trail today my steering went past where it is supposed to stop, so the bars went almost an extra 1/4 turn. popped hood to look for cracked bulkhead or sheared post but everything looked ok. turned the bars again and it wanted to do it again really easily, looks like the hoop the post is supported on is flexing to the front allowing the bars to turn too far. i can see the gas tank moving also when turning the bars. is there somewhere else i could have craked the bulkhead, or is there just that much give in the steering? handled fine on the road home...
