Steamboat Lake, North Routt Report??

We rode up there Saturday and Sunday - like everywhere else it was warm and starting to really set up. We still found plenty of fresh snow, the further north that we went, we seemed to find the best snow. Like everywhere else, they need some fresh, there was about a foot of 'powder' in the trees and meadows - so we had a good time, it was go anywhere snow so we did just that.....

I've ridden the area the last four weekends and just last weekend it was beginning to get totally tracked out.
The base is in place and last Saturday/Sunday were hero snow conditions. There was still some lighter, deeper snow on the north-facing hills but everything else had enough sun to set up pretty firm.
We definately need some new snow.
