Steamboat Lake 27-30

My GF and I are going to be staying up at Steamboat Lake from the 26th - 30th. I'm looking for folks that might also be going and who are looking for people to ride with. We ride mostly in the Wolfcreek area and have only been to Steamboat once. Last trip was great boondocking, but easy to get lost! Would really like to find some folks that know the area well.

First round of beers is on me!

I ride an 08 xp 163 and she has an 06 RMK 900 166.

While I'm on the subject, rode Wolfcreek on Tuesday and my sled was (XP) was choking on the powder (stumbling in the deep stuff) I'm thinking its not getting good airflow. What is the best intake to get to fix that problem?

POST PICS of your girlfriend and I will decide if the trip up there is worth it:D:D:D

J/K man...have fun out there!! I love sledding with the G/F:)

It can be fun sledding with the girlfriend, but I always get stuck doing all the shoveling!

If anyone is going to ride the Steamboat Lake area around Christmas drop me a line.

Looks like the southern part of the state is getting all the snow.

Can anyone give a report of the conditions up there now?

It has been snowing pretty much all week. We went up Rabbit Ears yesterday and it was decent, still alot of rocks showing. One of the guys in our group trashed an A arm. But with the storms we're getting it will be really good soon. Sent you a PM

To solve your intake problem cheap and effective: Just install 2 SLP FlowRites (make sure that they are the good ones, not the cheaper ones with the hard plastic frame and clips) in the the back of the air box that slides onto the carbs. Then you can ride all the deep snow you want and never worry about the bog issue. I did this one mine and it is flawless.

Yes SLP has a power flap that installs on the back of the air box and open up when the stock inlets choke up. This way you are only sucking warm air from under the hood if absolutely necessary. The flow rite like PJ used would do the same thing, but I would have to wonder how much warm air is being ingested with use of the flowrites.
