Not to be a smart azz, but google earth. That little gem is quit useful when looking for roads in and out of many riding areas.

We have been up there this year and it was a blast! We usually stay in Kremmling. I think the distance is about the same to Steamboat. We like a little more laid back atmosphere which Kremmling has a great little bar for that. We stay at Muddy Creek Cabins, which is within walking distance to eat at the bar. Cabins are pretty nice and very affordable. We stayed in a 4 bed and it was 160/night.

As noted above you can also google Rabbit Ears Pass and then click on the map, and this is pretty close to where you can park. It is about 40 min drive up from Kremmling.

Steamboat is a ski town and not very friendly to trailers. I'd reccomend Kremmmling or Walden for lodging. Less night life but much more trailer freindly and cheaper. I usually stay in Walden at North Park Inn. Rabbit Ears is the rock formation you pass on HY40 on the way to Steamboat.

If you are dead set on staying in Steamboat only place I've ever stayed is the Rabbiet Ears Motel on the left side of the main drag when coming into town. They have a pretty large parking area and I've been able to park a 30' trailer in there before.

Kremmling is a better place to stay though as others have stated. The Allington Inn there is a nice hotel with hot tub and is pretty reasonable! They are walking distance from the bar/grill to grab some hot food after the days riding.

If you have enough people you can just rent a house somewhere in Steamboat. The further you get away from the ski resort, the cheaper the prices become, and the bigger the driveways and properties get.
