Std.Rmk idler wheels

The std. Rmk has some extra idler wheels on the skid compared to the Pro and the Assault. Both inside and outside the rails. Will removing them cause me any trouble? Want to put on WE shocks from an Assault on the skid but the inside wheels interfere with the shocks, not enough space. Have an 2013 Std.Rmk 600, 155 inches.

Ok, but why all the extra wheels? Comfort or less wear of the plastic slides?

Having the idlers helps prevent hifax wear in marginal snow conditions. Lots of people remove them for weight reduction and install a set of scratchers.

Ok,thanks[emoji106] do you have a trick for removing/ installing the front shock without taking out the Hole skid?

Lift the sled up and undo the bolts, or put the sled on its side. That’s the way I did it to change mine out. I had to compress the front shock a little to get it in but it was too bad.
