Stay off the hills..

Huh? Our group has always taken the time to talk to anyone with a question or help them with something. We are trying to make this sport better for everyone and not give it a bad rep. What did you want to know? Did you talk to me?

I second that, Neil & Shane & the gang are "Stand up Guys" who will help a fellow sledder out in any situation.

Too much personal bashing going on here. Went to the Lower Bull Pen as well, just decided as a group the we didn't feel at ease there. So we made our decision to leave. They obviously felt better about the situatiuon...

We played in the upper Bull Pen earlier in the day before they showed up & felt quite safe there.

Dont worry about it stray***** some guys are as arrogant on these threads as they are in person. Tried to talk with NM and his group in the parking lot at Revy before Christmas about there sleds and they just looked at us like we were Aliens. I guess some of us are'nt up to his standards. Guys like that are way smarter than us:beer;:D

Well I'm not saying neil is better than anyone cuz I know he would help a guy anyway he could and that goes with the whole group!! Iv rode with them for a bit and have seen it lots! We do help eachother.. This thread was all about trying to get the word out to try and stay away from trouble.. Not a name calling thing.. Let's just leave it at that! Cheers boys ride safe
TROY

McLaren and Stray, have a race to the top of the Monster, strip down to your G-strings and have a good ol' fashion Boot Jack contest.

That will decide things. LOL

as a generality i would say those who are going to pull these chutes do there homework before a pull, just like in ski movies and everthing like that. when you have the ability to do something this big it takes a lot of caution to make sure it isnt the last chute you pull.

i think stray is trying to help a lot of people who would see the pics of the chute climbing and assume everthing is safe. i know i would have last winter, im a lot more educated, aware, and freaked out by avys now that i have learned. there is definately stuff that is safe to climb, its just realy rare and still not 100% safe. i see this as somebody trying to protect those who arent smart enough to protect thereselves.

I second that! Neil, TJ, Shane, Phil and the rest of the gang are good people. I've got nothing bad to say about them.

Hey Neil! let me know the next time you're in Revy. I'll try and meet up with you guys.

Matt

Maybe I have you confused with another group from Ponoka with Modded turboes Nytros. If I do My appologies.:beer; We were parked beside you (I Assume) and two others loading our sleds at boulder and I came over to ask about your rear skids as mine has timbersled and I cant keep the front down.
Basically got no answer and cold shoulder as you continued to load. Me and my group drove away feeling like (Huh guess we were intruding on secret info:() Im sorry if my post offended you but we were offended when we left!

I have to second this, I was with vipertonytro and like he said we were loaded up (turbo nytro, turbo dragon, M-10, and 700 rmk) they pulled in we noticed thier sleds(nice) went up to the to talk to them, had to pull teeth to get a coversation, then another guy came up said something and we were like dogs on the back porch. We turned around looked at each other and said I guess we're not good enough. We are not new to the mountains, we were just trying to share secrets(help and get help) If he is a great guy we didn't see it, we just saw an ignorant group.

I know nothing of this. Was our trailer a Gooseneck Featherlight trailer hooked to a Dodge? We have no secrets except what is done to our motors. In my opinion a timberskid is not suitable for a turbo fourstroke application. This is just my opinion, and this is in comparison to the M-10 skids that we are using. I will always offer advice when asked...just look at most of my posts, they are offering technical info too try and help other guys out. We all run turbo 4 strokes and do all of our own work (except motor) so we have learned alot about what works and what doesn't. If you guys have any questions then let me know.:beer;

CoyoteGirl
Come ride double with me Paul! It won't be no nasty chute climbing type of thrill............. but I will guarantee you'll laugh the day through!

Serious! Let's DOOOOOOOOOOOO it!

Thanks for the offer, but I think I will be sticking to two wheels and a moto-x track this year.

I will

Thanks NM. I do beleive it was you guys Dodge with Gooseneck. Maybe we caught you on a bad day. It was the guy sitting on his sled behind your trailer that I directly talked to looking at your sleds when you and another came up fired up your sleds and loaded them. His was 162 and the two you loaded were 174's. Anyway if it was misunderstanding fine enough said.:beer; We also build our own sleds as we have done Nytros 1 Apex and a Turbo dragon. I also do the engine work myself as far as head shimming. I havent gone deeper for pistons and rods. Mine is currently running full timbersled frt and rear with Ice age 162 rails 16w camo exteme. Im starting to agree with you that the timbersled skid just doesnt work on boost. However seems to be fine on the Apex chassis we built at 18lbs. I would never think of pulling anything like you guys do 1. my balls arent big enough. 2. she would come over backwards if i did try. (I know this is the wrong thread for this but thought I'd better clear things up)

Hey no problem. You might have been talking to my kid. He is only 17 and seriously probably doesn't even know what a Timberskid is. Besides he is pretty shy with people he doesn't know. maybe you were talking to Scooter, he always just has a blank look or a smile....and can't talk to good.:face-icon-small-win
If you see us out there again, come over and say hi, and you can check out the sleds.:beer;

No apology necessary for respectfully putting it out there Troy...all you can provide is information/opinion...the decisions are always up to the individual...no right/wrong here...just differences.

Glad all made it back and this wasn't a different type of thread...
