Is it possible to put a 600 cfi stator in my 600 carb? I want to put HID headlights in but I DO NOT WANT TO RUN A BATTERY! Any input is huge, Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'd check with BLAINE, he rebuilds stators, mostly ARCTIC CAT, but some POLARIS as well, he's on hardcoresledder and johndee
Might be able to modify your existing stator to accomplish your goal rather than buying a new stator

Go to the ARCTIC CAT section on www.hardcoresledder.com and/or www.johndee.com and type in BLAINE STATOR and you'll find him
SDI stators do not fit in carb (HO) cases so the other option is better. But, the current headlight bulbs need more watts than HID's so why do you need a battery? Proper kits should be able to light up the "box" without needing a battery. A battery isn't that big of a deal either, though, as the Doo SDI battery (non-ES) is pretty slim, so is a KTM supplemental battery. Lots of options...
The reason the battery is needed is because the hid lights require more power on start up. You are correct after they are warm.
