stator and flywheel???

yes if the bottom 2 bolts have been left out of the recoil housing. if not you have to lift the motor to remove them. you still can do it with it in the chassis just a bit harder.

Yes I do believe I did leave those two bolts out when I replaced my recoil rope. Just wondering about fishing the wires in without pulling motor.

yes it can be done, i pulled mine with the motor in and even had the bottom two bolts in the recoil. Was abit of a PITA but worth it rather then pulling the entire motor.

as BIGDAWG says, just loosen the mount bolts abit and then you have abit of wiggle room

BUT CAUTION - when moving the motor there is a brass fitting on the crankcase with an oil line to it its just pressed in and can come loose when moving the motor around, mine came out after doing this job on the trail and oil spills everywhere....then had to be pulled home:mad:

Wow what a ***** getting that big *** wire connector pulled out! I am going to tape it up and grease it and leave a good pull wire in to pull the new stator wires in.
