Standalone W/A IC - water temps?

Anyone know the temp of the water at the intercooler inlet? Using a standalone air to water intercooler?

I know it depends on volume but let's use HM 8"x30" cooler as an example(or whatever size it is).

I don't know what the water temp is at the outlet but the charge air temps are between 30 and 45 deg. entering the engine, depends on ambient temps and snow conditions. I'll talk to Shane and see if he knows what the water temps are running.

Not sure about water temps, but the charged air temp on my m8 was 60- 70 f
When it used to be 130- 140 without any type of intercooler. This was with a small heat exchanger up in the front of tunnel. (not ideal Placement)

Looking at those pictures it looks 18" long (which rings a bell).

Now after i thought about it, it is roughly calculable.

115F with and intercooler at 75% effiency = 86F drop = 29F intake temp.

the intercooler cooling back to 75% of the water temp would make the water 0 F (zero degrees).

Can someone more knowledgable double check my calculations.

Do you know the weight of the cooler? (empty)

I didn't weigh it but I would say 1-1.5 lbs max. When I get the rest of my parts I'll post how much weight this intercooler system adds including CAC, water pump, lines, and coolant.

guys ,when Shane,Levi and I tested last year the charge temps ranged from 39 degrees in sugar snow to 69 degrees in may on setup snow.

Do you guys think this pump would be better overall, as well as trying to keep power usage down? It only draws 1.2 amps compared to 2.5-3.5 amps

I talked to Shane Hart at the Seattle show. In his testing the charge temps increased 118 degrees in less than 5 seconds from idle.

I use that pump and works great for 2 years. Light and u are right 1 amp draw.
