just wondering if anyone here also rides a stand up jet ski, if so what do you ride and where? i currently ride a yamaha super jet 650 with scattrack impeller, milled head, modified intake grate, and vortex intake. ride in lake superior on windy days, when the ten foot rollers are out.

Kawasaki 550, stainless impeller, otherwise stock, just keep it at the folks Lake Cabin in central MN. Don't ride it much, but a blast when I do!
nice, my dad has a kawi 550 as well. and if you wanna wake that thing up, bring it to a machine shop and get 60 thousandsths of an inch milled off. nite and day difference, i think the charge was $20 and they want 400$ for the aftermarket head that does same thing

Yamahas are not Jet Skis. Jet Skis are Kawasakis.
I used to race stand ups. Rode both Kawi's and Yami's. Lots of fun. River riding is a blast!
Another kawi 550 here, West coast pipe, K&N, etc.
Have a 750sx. Foot holds, head, aluminum pole, aftermarket bars and throttle, dual bilge pumps, hand grabs, hydro turf and aftermarket impeller. Love riding on lake Minnetonka, always lots of action out there.
03 Kawi SXR 800,milled head,145 compression at 8000 feet,couple other mods but mostly stock.Running buoys usually and some chase my friend.
Snow melt water's pretty cold,lake never gets above mid 60's.41 mph on the radar gun the other day.I'd be psyched to ride at sea level and see the 48 mph it can really do.

true that. and your lucky the lakes get to mid 60s, lake superior, wet suits are a must, the lake is 45 degrees in the summer and 42 degrees in the winter. but it never freezes. i've ridden every month of the year. and 41 is pretty fast for a stand up. i doubt my 650 wil do 30. but for just jumping waves all you need is quick snappy throttle response. changing to a quick accelerating impeller was best mod on it.

2008 sxr 800, 1989 650 sx, I have had so much fun this summer with my skis.
I was fortunate enough to ride an 04 Polaris Octane, set up to be raced, and all i can say is wow, best ski ever. makes my 650 feel like a jag340 and the octane is my m8 turbo !
