Stampede... the "you suck" thread

the ride was good. snow was really deep, though it depended upon where you stood.;)

first stuck wasn't too bad, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th only a couple of feet away from the first got the blood flowing. Thanks to Good-to-Go for the help. Good thing he didn't quit after the first one. Found a whole when trying to get my sled out, went in up to my arm pits and my feet never hit solid ground.

I was squirming around trying to get out like I was going to fall into hot lava or something. Finally got out with a helping hand and some strong pulls with the sled.

So we head down this road with no tracks on it figuring wonder where this goes. We see a creek, stop and take a look with the flashlights, doesn't look to bad was the consensus.

That was before it was tried.

Looks a lot steeper than what we thought.

Got a little captain in you?

Was a fun ride and had a good time. First time I rode Stampede at night. I think I might finally be getting used to the area and trails.

Out.

Those pics can't be Stampede:confused: NO FRESH SNOW!!!! ITS ALL CONCRETE.

Only trail riders go there and it is pack as solid as concrete!!!

It really sucks. Go to Gold Creek and enjoy the parking/leaving cluster with click clicks.

Our Newbies were "worn out" from the ride, just as it was getting good. Sorry I didn't see or hook up with GTG and Ruffy.

Sorry I didn't see or hook up with GTG and Ruffy.

We didn't start till 7:30PM or so, and I got back home at 12:30AM

Nothing says friday like dragging arse into work. Though contrary to popular belief, I am productive today.:D Got my grocery list all completed.:p

Track worked really good, contrary to what my 4 stucks in a row tell me. I was hooking up really good in the hard pack and could actually stop pretty fast instead of slip and slide around.

Put some handguards on my sled and it was feeling really slow. Found that the bracket wasn't letting me get to wfo, works much better at full throttle.

Sweet pics.... Of course, the committed escape from the "situation" wasnt' documented. Figures :p

There were a couple of inches of new stuff, and there was some just ok carving, boon docking to be had in some places. Weird snow, but setting up for a good base.

Snowlover... we will hook up.

W2B wanted to head up... I gave in :D First tracks out and found some fun hills with soft stuff underneath. Some fun pulls through the trees, getting my fix and all. Short ride, but was great to be up after being sick most of Feb.

Theres nothing like headed home when you're surrounded by people still getting sleep out of there eyes waiting for??? to go riding... in the areas you already tracked up!!!

Ran out of energy quickly though....man, being sick sucks.

LMAO, 'cause YOU weren't there

O M G... You're all going to scream how much we 'suck', because it was friggen awesome!!!

Ruffryder had to bag Baker tomorrow, but that didn't mean he was going to let the great snow pass. Thanks for going up Dave...wouldn't have wanted to miss this ride!!

A little crunchy down below, trail starting to get beat up. But my-oh-my, got into the hills a little and the pow was soft, rideable, climbable, carvable, and abundant. In fact, all the tracks from the sled's today stopped BEFORE the good stuff. I'll never understand some people...:face-icon-small-con

Ruffy cutting it up....we'd been burning fuel for awhile before I had the novel idea of trying to get a picture...

The stars are nice... but the sun today should rock!!
Big Truck and I will track-up whatever you two left today!

gotta go!

ohhh yaaaaaah, those pictures are good. Was a great ride last night, the snow was deeeeeep. It was amazing the difference that 500 ft of elevation can make, little crunchy below, go up and fluffy powder. We pulled some good sidehills and played around in some cool areas.

You da man GTG. Good ride as always.

Look at that Dragon! way more nimble than anything els, haha GOOD TO GO, how is it running?

Better than me..!!!! Was sick most of Feb..missed the rides.

Whistler next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

Yesterday was my first day at Stampede.... I've heard to many references of trail rides to get my attention (and go ride up there). But after seeing your "night" pictures yesterday morning... that's where I decided to go for our Wednesday hooky day and oh my did I have fun. Full tank of smiles and YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOin'.

So, thanks for sharing your pictures guys. :D

Got's to know where to go!!!!!!!!! Glad you enjoyed it..

And because you went yesterday, in the sun, when I could not, you hereby officially claim the comment:
