So I was gaming for a CR500, but stumbled on a sweet deal for this 07 YZ450F. I've got the motor out and I'm going to put new exhaust valves in (were out of spec, intake look OK) and a new piston. I'm planning to run it on a '14 Timbersled LT for the winter and see how it works out.
Are the Black Diamond steel valves good to run??? UncleSi burned through his titanium valves on his KX450, so I am thinking steel is the way to go. Should I replace the intakes while I am in there ?? They are in spec and look OK, but I have the motor torn apart.
I was going to get a Wiseco 13.5:1 piston stock bore and run pump premium, good way to go?
I have a rickystator, heated grips and some hand guards. I got some powder screen to seal up the airbox, and am going to make a large plastic shield for the motor/skid too.
