I heard about his passing on the radio this morning headed to work. Very heart breaking news. Prayers are sent for his family and friends.

MAN-I'm sorry to hear this. I have rode with Stace several times and considered him a friend. To his family and friends, I want to express my sincere condolences. I really liked Stace.

I am so sorry to hear this news.

I never had the priviedge of riding with Stacy but I did have the priviledge of getting to know him a little over the years.

He used to build me trailing arms, he built good quality stuff and was extremely reasonable in his pricing.

His family is in my prayers, we have all lost a great guy. He will be greatly missed.

Damn sad for sure the worst part is it didnt have to happen and shouldnt have happend! Same goes for our beloved Animal this has to stop. It getting to f ing easy to say my prayers etc go out to the family. Ill tell ya righrt now the family would just as soon have dad as our prayers. Im not blaming anyone but I think we all need to listen to those feelings of doubt as we unload, and voice our concerns to the bunch. Because somehow we are failing as a "club" to get the word out? This probably aint the place but Im sure open to ideas?

I've seen what this does to a family and when I say my heart breaksfor the wife and kids it really does. RIP Stace:brokenheart:

RIP Stace

I met Stace through a riding buddy Bill, rode with him a few times and he inspired me to push myself. It hurts to hear of these things happening to fellow sledders but even worse when you know em. My condolances go out to the family. Great guy and a great rider you'll be missed!

RIP. I didn't know Stace personally, but he was a fixture in the Grandview area and always a nice guy.

He probably knew the area better than anyone...it just shows you how important it is to be aware of the avalanche conditions.

It's a sad day when we lose one of our own. We all need to be aware that the conditions are very dangerous and it's not worth it.

"Do you want to come home to your wife and children in the evening?" That is the question that enters my mind every time I head out.

Very sad! Stace rode that area an average of once a week foe 25 yrs. Just goes to show it can happen to anyone anywhere.
He was a great person and befriended everyone. He was one of a couple of guy's that got me started with snowmobiles. I met him racing motocross back in the late 70's. He lived to ride sleds. His favorite thing to do. He was one of the original "Grandview Gang" and helped build what is known as the "church" at Grandview. Home to many a cold sledder on any given winter weekend.
I'll never forget him on his Indy 600 in his Carhart coveralls and beat up white helmet back then. LOL!! Many people let the outfit fool them until he fired up and out rode most people on the mountain.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Wendy, their kids and grandchild

He will be greatly missed by many. (R)ide (I)n (P)eace Stace
