The season is winding down and my spousal unit says we need to go for a full weekend of sledding this weekend.

We've been to Orr Creek (Mt Adams) many times over the years and enjoy it.

We've been to Woods N Steele riding a few times in years past and its fun too.

Never been to the south side of St Helens before but the thread on here "Marble Mount", with all its pics looks intriguing.

We usually stay primarily to the trails, riding at a pretty good clip, but shes not real confident in the deep stuff yet.

If we do Woods N Steele, we'll stay in a CleElum Motel.

St Helens or Orr Creek, we'll stay in the cabover camper for the weekend.

If you were us...which would you choose and why??? :face-icon-small-hap

go south

id vote for st helens or mt adams, because ive never been to either place and would like to ride there.woods and steele is ok but the groomers have stopped and i know that its beet up, friends there last weekend.

If you want to stay on trails, Marblemount may not be what you are looking for. The primary attraction there is the open riding on the lahar and up the mountain. When the weather cooperates, the view is breathtaking, and the mostly wide-open areas are great to learn how to ride the powder, but there isn't much trail riding to be had. (at least compared to other areas)

Orr the last 2 weekends has been fantastic, I'm sure that it completely sucks now though. :)

Sounds like Orr Creek it is. Hopefully its not whooped out everywhere. We haven't been up there all season and we enjoy going to Walupt, Takhalakh, and Horseshoe Lakes. :face-icon-small-coo

Where is Orr Creek? Is that north of Mt. Adams? Because if its Mt. Adams itself she can ride anywhere if she can ride there. Unless its like the Berry fields, off the mountain on trails. St. Helens should be fine for her this weekend. She just might have to stay in your tracks in some places.

Its on the north side of Adams. You get there're via US12 out of Randal. Then off the 23 road. Mostly logging/forest service roads.
