Spun the teeth off my sprocket today..

That's a new one for me. I suppose the chain was loose. Has this happened to you?

I've broken a couple of teeth, and had the tensioner fall off (gone now!)
Mine is completely stock though!!!
Hopefully it happened while beaten up on some of them "new schoolers" LOL

I thought I had blown a belt.

About a hour before it was racheting and I thought is was the track. I don't know why I didn't get it. Had I figured it out I wouldn't of been towed across the lake by an XLT. I did try to spin him sideways as he had too smug a look.

Hi Owen, sorry to hear about being towed by an XLT of all things, I can imagine the humiliation. I have take all the teeth off an upper sprocket once, usually I break the chain before it goes that far LOL.

Ahhh...the joys of a "mod" sled!! I feel your pain....ie: My last IP trip with you guys...2 burndowns in less than 2 days!....YUP...I feel your pain.

With all that big bore torque you have, the upper gear was feeding the lower gear slack and jumping it. I did this on my old 500 ElTigre and locked up the track and split the bottom of the case! I thought the same thing just track ratcheting.

There's always more to the story...........

My buddy with the XLT is stuck on it for a while. Last year at IP he knocked the snot out of one of those big fir trees, and totaled his XP. We've been giving him paticular shi* about it ever since. It's on video.
Sun. as he towed me to the bar he wouldn't stop. He towed me around the bar several times. I tried a parking lot sidehill manuver to no avail, I couldn't spin him out.
