Where are you getting sprockets from? Timbersled doesn't offer many options. I'm thinking an 18 and 19 in the chaincase with stock 13 to 17 would be a good combo for a 500 exc. just need to know where to get them.

Timbersled is your only option unless you get custom ones cut

Is there any post on gearing where one or two guys tried gears, or combo's on power/speed ratio?? Maybe some guys can chime in and say what works the best? I got a 525sx and I have a bunch of sprockets to try from the driver to counter shaft and chain case. I'd like to here from guys that have tried.

roll out

Alan did a write-up a while back on roll out. This is measured by marking the track and hy-fax with a paint marker, mark one tooth on the countershaft sprocket, rotating the track one complete revolution of the countershaft sprocket and then measuring the distance the track has traveled from your original mark. you can then do this with different gear combos thus having a way to measure what the different gearing combos will act like on the snow.

Being new to this sport is this a good base line on how far you can go for how much power you have? I was on a rental bike last year and have my own this year. I'm sure I will be playing with gears and building my own due to the cost from ts.
